D is back in a cast after seeing an Orthopedic dr. today. Apparently, if D keeps moving his arm around, there's a good chance the fracture could break off and he would have to have surgery. So D is in a cast for at least 6 weeks, although 3 weeks from now he should be able to begin to move his arm a little. He has to see the orthopedic guy once a week and have x-rays done every week to be sure the bone is healing and all that jazz. And then once it's healed, he might still have physical therapy to do.
Oy!
So we're back to life with a half cast on. This version is smaller and allows D to use his hand (the other version did not), but it's still a cast. :(
